Ulmatec Handling Systems is pleased to announce the successful signing of a contract for three Launch and Recovery Systems (LARS). This significant milestone underscores our commitment to innovation and excellence in serving the maritime industry.

The contract, secured with DOF, an esteemed subsea-operation company, marks a partnership aimed at enhancing maritime operations through cutting-edge technology. DOF has been providing integrated Subsea and Marine Service forseveral decades, and the international track record has a long history. Within the ROV and AUV Service, the Subsea projects rely on remote activities. DOF’sin-house team, with owned and operated ROVs, reduces project risk by maximizing uptime and availability of the equipment spreads aboard the proposed vessels. DOF Subsea’s ROV fleet is designed and manufactured to specifications and accommodates an extensive range of operational requirements.

The LARS systems acquired will play a crucial role in DOF Subsea’s ROV service projects. Two of the systems will be installed on an unknown vessel going into operation in the Gulf of Mexico. Another system will be installed onboard Skandi Hercules for operations in the Pacific Ocean. Ulmatec LARS systems are designed to work in harsh weather conditions and in ultra-deepwater areas and will provide state-of-the-art AHC performance over long periods if needed. They are renowned for their reliability and safety features, making them an ideal choice for demanding maritime applications within the ROV service provided by DOF. The LARS systems are electrical and are designed as mobile systems that can easily be mobilized onboard other vessels in other projects if needed.
