New contract for Polar Vessel

Ulmatec Thermal Solutions is thrilled to announce a new contract for an Integrated Central Heating System for Antarctica21's New State-Of-The-Art Polar Vessel.

For vessels operating in these harsh and vulnerable environmental conditions, reliability and sustainability are crucial characteristics embedded in the design specification.

The Integrated Central Heating System is equipped with four of our innovative EcolencerTM exhaust gas economizers with integrated silencer – harvesting surplus heat from exhaust gases, reducing emitted noise, and occupying less volume. Combined with the system’s autonomous heat distribution functionality the exhaust heat is joined with the engine’s cooling water flows and distributed to the guest accommodation areas via the HVAC system.

The result is less total fuel consumption from fuel fired boilers and consequently less emissions.

Magellan Discoverer will be built at the ASENAV shipyard in Valdivia, Chile.
