SUPPLYING IN-SEA EQUIPMENT AND HANDLING SYSTEMS FOR THREE DECADES

Baro has been an active partner for marine seismic research companies over the past 30 years. Its long-term cooperation with the seismic market has resulted in a variety of solutions. Since its introduction in the mid-1980s, for example, the Barovane brand has become virtually synonymous with seismic deflectors.

“We’re proud to say that our list of clients includes most of the companies searching for offshore oil and gas worldwide,” says Baro managing director Ove Henriksen.

“We make no secret of the fact that we’re the preferred supplier virtually throughout industry for some of our products, but we're not resting on our laurels. We’re investing heavily in new development to keep a step ahead of the competition.”

He and all the other employees of Baro Mekaniske Verksted AS will be flying off to Riga, the capital of Latvia, for the last weekend of September to celebrate the 30th anniversary.

“We’ve been able to acquire our unique market position thanks to highly skilled employees, our proximity to the harsh North Sea, the marine cluster around us, and a close working partnership with our customers,” says Mr Henriksen.
